The symbols on the Playstation controllers are not just there to be distinctive to others, but picked those symbols for good reason.
The triangle refers to viewpoint; It represents one’s head or direction and made it green. Square refers to a piece of paper; it represents menus or documents and made it pink. The circle and X represent ‘yes’ or ‘no’ decision-making and they made them red and blue respectively.

Titles such as Twisted Metal and Ridge Racer were very popular. By 2005 the PlayStation had become the first console ever to ship 100 million units.
