Grand Theft Auto is the action-adventure game that takes place from either from a third-person or first-person point of view. Players complete missions, linear scenarios with set objectives to then progress through the story. Outside of the missions, players may freely roam the open world.
The Grand Theft Auto series, belonging to, and to some extent defining the genre of free-roaming video games called “Sandbox Games.” It grants large amount of freedom to the player in deciding what to do and how to do it through multiple methods of transport and weapons. The game is structured as single-track series of levels with linear gameplay, unlike most traditional action games. The players’ relationship with various characters in the game are based on the choices the player makes throughout the game, the mission they want to undertake, Free roam option enables the player to roam freely in the open world and also find access buildings and minor missions. During the course of the game, some city areas will be available for the player to access.
The plot of the game allows the player to take on the role of a criminal in a big city. The character rises through the ranks of organized crime through the course of the game. Various missions are are set for completion by the figureheads of the city underworld, which must be completed to progress through the storyline.
